Wales most decorated athlete: Valley girl turned Olympic gold medalist
I am Lauren Price, known as the lucky one because of my rise to becoming a professional athlete. At three days old I was taken in by two incredible, loving people who have taught me the power of belief, and that you can achieve anything if you have a dream, focus and determination.
At aged 8 I knew I wanted to become an olympian. I had three very clear goals: Play football for Wales, Become a world champion kick boxer and win GOLD at the olympics.
Along this journey, there have been times where the dream could have been just that. My childhood could have led me down a different path. I will forever be grateful to my grandparents for taking me in as their own and supporting me to achieve those three childhood goals.
Today, I am Lauren Price MBE
